In Count, you can use the "Label" input field to annotate key data points, adding context and clarity directly to your visuals. Additionally, the "Text" mark option also enables you to show data but allows more flexibility with adjusting colours, shapes, or sizes, making it easier to highlight trends and important segments at a glance. Both of these methods are explained below:

Using the "label" input field

  • Quick and simple

  • Can customise formatting (ie add currency, set rounding etc)

Using the "text" mark

  • Much more control over look and style (ability to set colour, size etc dynamically)

  • Can customise placement, ie offset

Change the visual from 'Template" to "Custom" then duplicate your line mark, change it to "Text", and set the text field to what you would like your text to display.

To change the location of the mark, you will want to configure the "offset" option which will move the text up/down/left/right, click the 3 dots by the text mark, and set offset values.
