Joining tables is a powerful way to combine fields from different sources into a single table or visualization.

You can create joins in both visual and table cells by following these steps:

  1. Selecting or add a table or visual cell to the canvas.

  2. Choose your initial Source from the drop-down.

  3. Click Add join... below the Source.

  4. Pick the join type (inner, left, right, or full) and the table or cell you want to join with.

Count will often suggest columns to join on (for example, if it spots similar columns), but you can always set these manually too.

  5. Once your join is in place, you’ll see new columns appear in the left-hand panel—ready to drag into your table or visual.
