A global filter allows users to apply a single filter across multiple data tables, frames or visualisations, rather than having to add the same filter individually. Here's a guide on how to add one to your canvas.
1. Navigate to 'control' and choose a filter function; i.e. date picker, multiple select, single select, slider, toggle.
2. Start by specifying a source cell / table and column name for the filter.
3. Click into your control cell, then 'Automatic references' will be in the design panel.
4. From here you can select the cell / table, add constraints and even scope to specific frames.
5. Add multiple cells and tables to one global filter by pressing the '+' and adding in extra functionality.
