Slack Channel Not Listed: If a private Slack channel doesn't appear, go to the channel in Slack and use the command /count subscribe to connect it to the canvas.

Alert Timed Out: Alert queries must complete within 10 minutes. To resolve:

  • Simplify Query: Make your SQL or Python less complex.

  • Schedule Wisely: Run alerts when your database load is lower.

  • Use Scheduled Queries: Set up canvas queries to run before alerts, caching results for faster delivery.

Alert Email Not Received:

  • Check Spam: Look in your junk or spam folder.

  • Verify Subscription: Ensure your email is listed as a subscriber in the canvas's alert settings.

  • Check Notifications: Confirm you haven't disabled alerts in your Count account or within the specific canvas menu.

  • If still missing, contact Count support.

Alerts Arriving Late: Allow up to 15-20 minutes for delivery, as queries can take up to 10 minutes to run and then queue. For consistently longer delays, try scheduling for less busy periods or contact support.

Alert Shows Old Data: Count respects canvas caching. If your cache duration is long, alerts might use old results. To get fresher data, reduce the caching time in your canvas settings.
